In early March 2009 I came across the teachings of Alan John "AJ" Miller (a resident of Queensland). AJ previously "passed over" and has now returned (reincarnated) with increasingly full memories of his previous life as well as his life in the Spirit World.
There have been a number of very negative TV stories during 2011 labelling AJ as an evil cult leader and insinuating or claiming many other serious problems with his teachings. In nearly every instance I would be prepared to argue strongly against the criticisms as being outright lies or gross distortions. If you choose to accept the TV reports as accurate, then that is your prerogative.
Naturally, many (if not most) who hear him have difficulty believing that he could have reincarnated; indeed it is a major stumbling block for many. But his obvious love, passion, congruence, and ability to handle any & all questions seem to verify his statements. I choose to believe him.
And if AJ saying he has had a previous existence is hard for some to accept, it becomes even harder for most people when he states that he was (is) Jesus of the bible. Most people have so many emotions around their preconceived ideas of who and what Jesus was that they cannot accept that AJ could be Jesus.
If you choose to disbelieve AJ then that is simply your right and your choice - because, after all, there have been many deluded people over the centuries who thought/claimed to be Jesus. But if he IS Jesus, then what?
Interestingly, about 100 years ago there were a series of very reliable channelled messages from the spirit world to a man named Padgett. Some were from Jesus and many were from other famous people in history including many of the people from the bible. The consistent message from all of them was that Jesus was never God, and never claimed to be God. Much of what is in the bible is false and gives a very erroneous picture of God, Jesus, redemption, and salvation. As well it grossly distorts the message that Jesus came to preach and did teach. All these channelled messages are available on line for free.
Apart from the teachings on emotional processing (and his own reincarnation), all of what AJ teaches is fully consistent with the Padgett messages. The emotional processing is very much in accord with progressive modern practices. An example is the method used by John Bradshaw in his book "Homecoming". Another is the work of Margaret Paul, Ph.D. and
Erika Chopich, Ph.D. which they call "Inner- bonding" (see here for their website).
All my life I have been seeking The Truth of existence. I have not wanted to be locked permanently into any one belief system as I see that to be a limitation. It would be presumptuous of any human to consider that they hold the entire Truth. There is always more to learn.
The teachings of AJ are the most plausible and coherent that I have seen. They can answer EVERY question we might have about most topics. I am not asking that you believe them; but if you are a seeker of truth, love and happiness, then you owe it to yourself to examine them very closely. They could be the most important ideas that you have ever come across.
If you are seeking Coaching to alleviate some problem in your life then you can save yourself many hundreds (or thousands) of dollars by simply choosing to listen to and follow what AJ teaches. (Or at least read John Bradshaw or Dr Margaret Paul).
In very brief summary, what AJ says bears some initial similarities to the CWG (Conversations with God) material but goes far beyond that. There is one major difference - God is a personal Being who desires a close personal relationship with each of us. This latter does not conflict with the beliefs of the mainline churches. However, both AJ and the Padgett messages insist that God has no anger, wrath, jealousy, or need for punishment in her being. Hence a permanent Hell is not possible.
The Spirit World is not a place with just two fixed locations - Heaven and hell. It is a place of continuous growth and progress - not dissimilar to Earth in that respect. There are many Levels or Spheres within the Spirit World, and spirits (as well as humans) attain these levels as they progress in the love of God. Most people who "pass over" go to the first sphere which itself has many thousands of levels. The lowest levels are worse than what we would think of as "Hell"; while the higher levels would correspond to our view of Heaven. But that is just the First Sphere. There are many, many Spheres beyond that, each beautiful beyond our imaginings.
Those who have lived lives out-of-harmony with God's love go to the lowest levels of the First Sphere. But their stay there is not permanent and the soul can move on at any time that it decides to accept God's love. However, in practice, those who have been particularly "evil", such as Nero or Hitler, tend to stay in these "hells" for many centuries or millennia because they cannot believe in a loving, personal God.
Spirits and humans can follow one of two paths:-
The Natural Love Path - those who believe in an impersonal God and use intelligence to achieve all their progression. They are self-reliant. They seek moral perfection and unlimited intellectual knowledge.
The Divine Love Path - those who believe in a very Personal God and seek to grow in the love of that wondrous Being. They are God-reliant. They earnestly desire to receive God's Love and constantly seek more of it.
It is a sad fact that the vast majority of all spirits choose to follow the Natural Love path. Some do so because they want to remain "in control". Others become so disillusioned to find that the spirit world is not like what they think the bible says it will be, that they choose to believe that a loving, personal God does not exist.
Spirits from any of the levels or any Sphere can communicate with humans at any time and many communications are from spirits in the higher Spheres. The more advanced souls can even assume human form. The writings of Neale Walsch were from a soul in the Second Sphere. This soul was on the Natural Love path and believed that God is an impersonal "energy" of which we are all part. Hence it could claim in near honesty to "be" God. Other "divine" messages such as those of the Mormons, Islam, many Christian sects, and most other religious writings, started with "inspirations" from high level souls on the Natural Love path who also believed that they were (part of) God. They were loving and trying to help, and partially honest, but because they refuse to accept the basic premise of Divine Truth that God's Love is personal they all teach error of some sort.
All channellings and mental or verbal communications from the other side are from spirits and never directly from God. That includes all the Old Testament messages. In fact the vast majority of current-day messages channelled through professional Mediums are from spirits in the First Sphere (spirits who do not accept the Divine Love path). In addition, souls in the First Sphere, particularly those in the lower levels, frequently "attach" themselves to humans who are compatible. This is done as they seek to recreate emotions and sensations that they remember from earth. The extreme form of this is what we describe as "possession".
All of us have a multitude of spirit souls surrounding us at all times. Some are just curious; others, out of love, seek to help (but they could be still on the Natural Love Path). And if we are very much out of harmony with God's love, others could be malevolent souls seeking some form of self-gratification by using our emotions.
Spirit interaction with humans is far more common than we realise; in fact it is continuous and constant. Many people unwittingly allow themselves to be heavily influenced by spirits still on the Natural Love path, particularly those from the lower levels. Spirits on the Divine Love path never possess or unduly influence humans with whom they interact. All their interactions are based on Divine Love and always respect our free will.
Reincarnation (in the sense of the eastern traditions) was previously a firm belief of mine, but AJ assures us that only he and a few others have ever reincarnated (and that only recently). All evidence of so-called reincarnation is simply due to Spirit Souls giving us images of the life that they lived. This applies to all déjà-vu experiences.
